How to use Widgets (Android)

How do widgets work?

• Calendars displayed in widgets:
  1. Tap the four-square tab at the bottom right corner
  2. Tap the "TimeTree Settings" button in the middle of the screen
  3. Scroll down to "Calendars to display in other features"
  4. Select calendars
• If the events are not displayed or updated, please try again after restarting your phone.

Home screen widget

1. Start out by choosing an available blank space on your home screen.
2. Touch the Widgets option from the menu that pops up.
3.  Swipe right through to TimeTree. 

New type: 4x4 home screen widgets (recommended)

1. Move to the previous/next month
2. Create an event
3. Select calendar(s) to display on the widget, option for 'Lunar Calendar', 'week numbers', select the widget style (Light, Dark, Transparency)
4. Open a calendar in TimeTree App
5. Switch the button to display or hide the event list for the selected day

• The "Home Calendar" view will open when the app is opened from the widget

Old Type: 2x4 Daily and 4x4 Monthly widgets

• Calendars displayed in widgets:
  1. Tap the four-square tab at the bottom right corner
  2. Tap the "TimeTree Settings" button in the middle of the screen
  3. Scroll down to "Calendars to display in other features"
  4. Select calendars
• Tap the month name: The "Home Calendar" view will open when the app is opened
• Tap the date: This date will open from the app

If you can't see events in the widget

• Please try if one of the following steps resolves the issue:

  1. Restart your device
     1. Remove widget
     2. Turn your phone off and restart
     3. Reset the widget
  2. If you're viewing a month with many weeks
     1. Press and hold the widget
     2. Vertically expand the adjustment frame that appears around the widget
