The date and time of all events within TimeTree are based on the mobile device's date and time settings.
When traveling to a location within a different time zone, all times of events within TimeTree will change as your mobile device's default time changes as well.
i.e. While planning for a trip from Tokyo to London, one might create an event that will occur at 8:00 am December 1st in London as they plan their travel in Tokyo, However, upon arriving in London, the event's time would have changed to 11:00 pm, November 30th.
However, with the android version's 6.3.0 update and the iPhone version 6.14.0 update, you may select the time zone manually for each event rather than automatically syncing with your mobile device.
1. How to change the timezone your calendars and events are displayed in
- Open your mobile device's settings
- Tap "General"
- Tap "Date & Time"
- Turn off "Set Automatically"
- Choose time zone
2. Changing Timezone for specific events
Time zones can be selected while creating events.
This feature is most useful when planning business trips or overseas vacations.
It is also useful when sharing events with people in different time zones.
If you wish to edit multiple events, each specific event within a calendar will need to be edited individually.
